Stop-motion tales: a Tim Burton retrospective
The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie on the big screen, 14–15 November.
Strange heroes, odd creatures and stories that balance between the macabre and the tender: in Tim Burton’s universe, being different never needs to hide. This year the festival brings three much-loved stop-motion tales from his world back to the big screen, so young audiences can discover how darkness turns into play, humour and imagination.
- Corpse Bride: Saturday 14 November, 16:15, Village Cinemas Maroussi. The film contains flashing lights and visual patterns (strobing effects) that may affect viewers with photosensitivity.
- Frankenweenie: Sunday 15 November, 12:30, Cinemax Kifisia 1.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas: Sunday 15 November, 16:00, Danaos 1. Jack Skellington, Halloween and Christmas in a film generations have grown up with.
