Script Contest for Short Films

One of the key goals set by the Athens International Children’s Film Festival since its founding has been the support of Greek audiovisual production for children. It is, therefor, our great pleasure to announce an open call for our Script Contest, accepting scripts for short films (up to 10′ runtime) made for children ages 3-10!

The Contest is open to screenwriters, directors and lovers of cinema. Scripts will be accepted up to Tuesday the 12th of March 2019. The scripts will be evaluated by a Jury comprised of:

-Panos Genas, editor at cinemagazine.gr

-Ilias Karellas, theatre director for children and adolescents

-Jaqueline Lentzou, director, screenwriter

-Filippos Mandilaras, author of children’s and young adult literature.

-Paola Staraki, head of department for short films at the GFC (1998-2012), translator

The winning script will receive a cash prize of 1.500 euros, courtesy of the Greek Film Centre.
