OPEN CALL- Young Reporters
For young people aged 14–17. Do you love cinema? Is becoming a journalist your dream job? Are you ready to combine your passions?
ATHICFF 2026, powered by PPC, gives you the chance to join the Festival’s dynamic journalism team and capture its most interesting moments in your own unique style!
The Young Reporters are back for a third year, ready to capture everything with their keen journalistic instinct!
What exactly will happen if you join the Young Reporters team?
You’ll have the chance to:
1) Attend the training workshop and learn the fundamentals of journalism
2) Take part in masterclasses with credible journalists
3) Learn everything in depth about the Festival and prepare for your interviews.
Out in the field! Get your mics!
After the preparation phase, the now fully prepared Young Reporter enters the Newsroom to:
1) Conduct interviews with filmmakers and industry professionals from Greece and abroad
2) Capture key moments of the Festival
3) Write their own film reviews as well as other creative articles
4) Interact with the audience and Festival guests, broadcasting live content via the Festival’s social media channels.
Young Reporters joining the team must be available to attend in-person meetings on the following dates:
Before the Festival (educational workshop):
WHEN: October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31
TIME: 17:00 – 18:30
WHERE: 130 Solonos St., 10681 Athens (ATHICFF offices)
During the Festival:
WHEN: November 13, 14, 15 (in shifts to be determined)
WHERE: Athens Concert Hall
After the Festival (educational workshop):
WHEN: November 21

You can register by sending an email to info@athicff.com with the subject line “Participation request for Young Reporters 2026”, making sure to include:
– Full name
Date of birth
– Mobile phone number (parent or guardian)
Please make sure to also include a short text about what cinema means to you, a film that moved you, and why you want to join the Young Reporters team. Don’t stress about the text—feel free to express yourself openly and honestly, using as many words as you like!

Young Reporters receive free tickets for the premiere and films of their choice.
