One of the most influential and beloved animation studios worldwide, Japan’s Studio Ghibli, is celebrating 40 years of unparalleled cinematic magic that has transcended geographic and cultural boundaries. The festival joins in the celebration by screening, for the first time with Greek dubbing, three of the most popular films by co-founder and animation legend, Hayao Miyazaki, carrying a precious and timely anti-war message. Whether shown directly or allegorically, these timeless stories highlight the human cost of conflict and instability, especially for children and their families. They reject inhumanity and destruction, persistently advocating for the protection of children through empathy, care and imagination.
