Creativity – Critical Viewing – Visual Culture: How the 3 Cs Come Together in Education
How can the classroom become a space of inspiration, imagination, and free thinking?
This seminar explores how creativity, critical viewing, and visual culture can come together through the medium of cinema to enrich and energize the learning experience.
Using the animated short film “Humanity” (Czech Republic, 2024) as our starting point, we’ll delve into international educational approaches that turn the classroom into a place of “joyful learning” — in the spirit of Nietzsche’s vision: a kind of knowledge that inspires, motivates, and makes room for both imagination and emotion.
