9-year-old Babs hates meat and loves summer holidays, for which she is preparing until her plans are upset by the arrival of her grandfather from America. She and her best friend think he’s an outsider, until he gives his granddaughter a little piglet as a present for her birthday. Bubs will love the little animal unconditionally and they become inseparable friends. To allow her parents to keep it, she will even give it dog training. When it is revealed that Grandpa has decided to enter the biggest sausage contest in the area and be crowned Sausage King, there is only one solution: everyone must rush to save the little piggy from his meat grinder. Countless mischief (be warned: the pet is completely disinterested in cleanliness and good taste), laughter, suspense and a clear nutritional message come together in a delightful stop motion animated film that opened this year’s Generation Kplus youth section of the Berlin Film Festival.
