Billie is full of life. She lives and breathes each emotion that overtakes her, and she loves it. After 16 years of living fully, Billie has rejected the mainstream use of ‘electrophobes’, devices her peers use to combat their negative emotions, conditioning them to laugh instead of cry through shock therapy. Numbing your negative emotions? What’s the point of living if you’re not living every moment fully! When a fire threatens her town, and warnings and reports begin to invade her life, she is forced to reconsider her stance. How much negativity can she take? And is her prejudice towards electrophobes justified?
