The Athens International Children’s and Youth Film Festival launches the initiative “Everyone in the Frame.” This action is a natural extension of the inclusive activities consistently promoted by ATHICFF and represents a coordinated effort to lay the foundations for meaningful change, aiming to strengthen the representation, equal participation, and visibility of people with disabilities in cinema and audiovisual media.
Through special screenings and public discussions, the initiative focuses not only on accessibility but also on the creative expression and the professional inclusion of people with disabilities in the cultural sector. At the same time, it contributes to shaping new standards of representation by empowering people with disabilities as creators, professionals, and audiences. The initiative addresses both audiences with and without disabilities, promoting the concept of inclusion.
This year’s edition of “Everyone in the Frame” includes:
– “Loxi”, a specially accessible screening
– An open discussion on “Audiovisual Media: Inclusion and Visibility of Artists and Professionals with Disabilities”
– An accessible film workshop led by professionals with and without disabilities
