The film follows the little Kanak girl Dilili and her encounter with Paris during the Belle Epoque. Despite being faced with varying degrees of racism, as the mulatto girl she is in an all-white world, she keeps a positive and open mind, and her curiosity leads her on a true adventure through the cultural history of France, but also on a fearless quest to investigate the mysterious kidnappings of little girls. Accompanied by a young delivery boy, she rides through the city and through the times of this golden era, and on her way she meets the most prestigious historical figures of our time such as artists, inventors and scientists – Monet, Rousseau, Pasteur, Proust, Debussy, Toulouse-Lautrec and many more inspires the high spirited little girl with their conversations. Marie Curie becomes a friend, Gustave Eiffel takes her to his office at the top of the tower, and Ferdinand von Zeppelin lends an aircraft to help rescue the missing girls.
