How is a story born? And how does it become a film through the eyes of children?
In this workshop, participants collaborate with director Iris Baglanea to contribute to the development of her new film, PiKeKo, currently in the writing stage.
The story follows Lydia, a nine-year-old girl who moves with her parents near the mysterious Black Lake – a lake that, according to legend, “swallows children.” There, she meets Maria, a wild twelve-year-old who introduces her to the exciting yet dark life of the countryside. A deep bond forms between the two girls, but it soon takes an unpredictable and unsettling turn.
Through creative exercises and conversations with the director, participants will explore how characters come to life, how stories are visualized, and how the camera – through their own perspective – can reveal an entire world.
