Georgina Kakoudaki

Theatre theorist and Director

Georgina Kakoudaki is a theatre theorist and director. Since 2009, she has been directing youth theatre performances and collaborated with over 30 theatre and dance companies as a dramaturg. She is teaching in numerous public and international organizations specializing in educating adults through theatre and film. She has taught film dramaturgy and aesthetics at the AKMI IEKschool (2006-2011). She was head of the National Theatre of Greece Library and Archive (1997-2004). She co-wrote the books: Theatre education for adults (IDEKE 2007) and Paths of Experiential Learning (Kedros publications 2011). She is the author of the Arts Schools Students’ Course book specializing in Theatre Directing and Film Directing (IEP 2015)  and Film Aesthetics (ΙΕP 2015) and organized large number of New Artists festivals alongside a series of organizations and theatres in Greece. From 2016 to 2019 she was the curator of the Educational Programs of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival and the Artistic Director of the Epidaurus Lyceum, an international school for actors focusing on ancient drama. She collaborates with Olympia International Festival for Children and Young People/Pitching Ideas, Drama International Film Festival/ Pitching Lab and with Athens International Children Film Festival. Since 2021 she is the Artistic Director of the summer school for ancient drama Summer Oracle (Municipal Theatre of Ioannina/ Dodona)

Lucas Paleocrassas

Director

Lucas Paleocrassas is a Greek documentary filmmaker whose work has been showcased at international festivals and academic institutions such as Sapienza and NYU. In 2022, he competed at the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival with Final Year, a co-production of ANEMON and the Greek Film Centre, which won Best Feature Documentary at the 25th Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People and the 11th AegeanDocs. 

He was awarded by ARTWORKS (2022) and is a Fellow of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship Program. His latest documentary, Bugboy, received the Onassis Film Award at the 27th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and is a Greek-Danish-French co-production supported by the Greek Film Centre, ERT, ARTE, the Danish Film Institute, and DR.

Effie Pappa

Writer, Animation Director

Effie Pappa is a Director and Animator. She was born in Igoumenitsa, is based in Athens, and works internationally. Her films have been screened and awarded at numerous film festivals around the world, with the most acclaimed being her stop motion short film My Stuffed Granny, which garnered over twenty international awards for Best Animation (Edinburgh International Film Festival, Tokyo Anime Awards, Hamptons, among others) and was selected for the official competition at Annecy.

Alongside her film work, she directs commercials and music videos, most notably Wild World by Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Elefantaki by Giorgos Hadjipieris, which has surpassed 85 million views. Her work has received accolades such as ERMIS Awards and EBGE Awards, and has been featured in media such as Rolling Stone, Metal Magazine, The Fader, Vimeo Staff Pick, It’s Nice That, and more.

She is a graduate of TEI of Athens, Department of Graphic Design, and holds an MA in Directing Animation from the UK’s National Film and Television School. She is an Onassis Foundation scholar, and ARTWORKS fellow of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Support Program. In 2024, she is developing her first children’s series, My Name is Lulo!, which won the 2024 Script Development Competition at the Athens International Children’s & Youth Film Festival and is part of the Cinekid Script LAB 2024–2025.
