A screening of short films without dialogue, accompanied by audio description, suitable for ages 6 and up.
The screening will also feature the work created during the “Everyone in the Frame” Audio Description Workshop, followed by a discussion with the workshop participants.
Bats and Bugs

Deep in the jungle, everything seems to be going as usual – until a lantern lights up at night and throws the animals into chaos. Countless insects can’t resist, are magically attracted to the light, and fall into a strange trance. The unusual commotion awakens a family of bats, and while the large bats use the bright spectacle to hunt, the little bat child rescues a firefly, a fly, and a moth. The next evening, the lantern shines again, and the little bat tries everything to protect the insects from the spell of the dangerous light. She injures herself in the process, but the little animals are immediately on the spot: What luck!

Prout

Obsolete household appliances and waste of all kinds are sent to the planet Prout, Earth’s dumping ground. Bean and Spaghet, two little emergency workers from this strange planet, go on an emergency mission to save one of their friends who has been crushed by debris falling from the sky.

“Everyone in the Frame” is the annual initiative of the Athens International Children’s Film Festival, aiming to meaningfully include people with disabilities in the audiovisual sector and strengthen their role as creators and professionals.
