We asked ourselves: Who could cover a children’s festival better than the children themselves? With that in mind, we’re excited to introduce the Young Reporters!<\/p>\n

We’re looking for 20 teenagers aged 14-17<\/strong> to help capture the magic of the 7th International Children’s Film Festival of Athens. Through interviews, reports, videos, and photos, these young reporters will tell the stories behind the scenes: Which films wowed the audience? What does the Program Director actually do? What’s going on in the foyer? They’ll even get the chance to interview the filmmakers\u2014either in person or over Zoom!<\/p>\n

To get ready, the young reporters will attend a mini journalism workshop with four sessions. They’ll learn the basics of reporting, film criticism, interviewing, and shooting journalistic videos.<\/p>\n

If you’re curious, love asking questions, have a unique perspective, and most importantly, love cinema, this is your chance to join the festival\u2019s reporting team!<\/p>\n

The workshop is completely FREE<\/strong> and is open to teens aged 14-17<\/strong>. You just need to commit to attending our 4 Saturday sessions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

October 12 & 19 and <\/strong><\/p>\n

November 2 & 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM<\/strong> at the Festival’s office (Solonos 130, Athens 10681)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Availability is also needed on Friday, November 22 (6:00 PM \u2013 10:00 PM)<\/strong> for the festival premiere, and for shifts during the weekend of November 23 & 24<\/strong> at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall and Danaos Cinema.<\/strong><\/p>\n
